Description

In this project, the Chapiteau des arts was chosen to be located at the western end of the site, with the outdoor space located in the middle of the two axes of deployment of the building. The auditorium is conceived as a space of variable geometry (two-sided, three-sided, Italianate,) Two of the building's facades (southeast and southwest) are intended for passive heating, in addition to serving as a signal element on a metropolitan scale. Between this showroom and the marquee plaza is an overhead crane using recycled rails. The linear exhibition hall, low elongated and punctuated by the progressive dematerialization of the structure, is located on the east-west axis near the water and the Cité's track.
