Description

In selecting this design the jury pointed out that the project was agreeably disciplined and essentially architectural; that it had a simple structure and that it would be easy to build. The nice separation of the activities of the house, the placement of the children bedrooms further from the living room and the placement of the second bathroom to be convenient for day time use while maintaining a closely-knit plumbing system were considerable favourably. The mending room and storage space were greatly admired. The windows of the living room and bedrooms facing away from the street into the garden at the rear were considerable well shielded from the sun, yet located on the mild or warm side of the building.
