Paradise; Ontology of Consequence
This responsive garden is a systematic, anti- hierarchical rendering of the complex topographical qualities of reality. Water is confined without any visible boundaries and reflects the superlative grandeur of the sky; intimately associated with paradise. The surface of the water reflect s the presence of an active agent's movements, an indexical delicacy, by developing indeterminate patterns that illustrate the causal link between consequence and act ion; an affirmation of variation.
This becomes possible through a network of randomly placed, sensor -sensitive nozzles, implemented beneath the water's container which produce ripples in the water, based on the movement pattern of the active agent(s). Doing so, the system replicates the affect of the binary relation between an imaginary paradise and the ground.
Therefore, suggesting a material manifestation of a dialogue between ground and sky by portraying the visual/physical effect of rain on water without the agency of rain. This reflectivity and responsiveness encourages a consciousness in the agent(s) (visitors of the site] by enfolding their contribution to the architecture of the site/garden through signifying their behavioral map into an interpretation of their movements. Although the ripples are haphazardly aroused, their in-existence suggests (imposes] a sense of responsibility for the agent , in effect completing the cycle of the aforementioned rendering of reality in relation to paradise. A mechanistic utopia is therefore foreseeable in this delicate construct which allows for an adaptive/organic environment."
There was a water drop, it joined the sea,
A speak of dust, it was fused with earth;
What of your entering and leaving this world?
A fly appeared, and disappeared.
