Reperio
"Reperio" in Latin means Discovery. Reperio is a garden in which our own personal, social and eternal paradise discoveries take place. Burial mounds have been used historically as final resting places for those who were to enter their eternal paradise. In this garden, these mounds will become representations of our own personal paradise here on earth. Each of the four linear mounds are created using wood, concrete, turf and cork. These materials translate into a paradise of the individual in which they sit, lay, play and experience while in the garden. Visitors look upon the enclosed clear glass cube at the center of the four mounds. The ability to only be able to see 'paradise' reveals the idea that paradise is unattainable in our Society. This occurrence allows viewers to realize that the fundamental idea of paradise cannot easily be achieved.
