The land of milk and honey
Visitors experience the 'Garden of Milk and Honey" - a play on the reference to the agricultural abundance of the land - through the multi-sensorial viewpoint of a honeybee. Meandering through the honey-comb path, all the senses are a-buzz. The scent of Mixed in amongst the variety of native grasses are many wild flowers (grasses, docks, buttercups, daisies and other flowering plants. The amplified hum of live honeybees, and site of a field of kaleidoscopic colors are viewed through over 200 convex hexagonal lenses. A "river of milk" white phlox, Queen Anne's lace - meanders through the garden, at one point allowing visitors to cross the "river" by way of a plexiglass bridge.
Honey, a symbol of incorruptibility has vbeen found after centuries, unspoiled in the tombs of the pharaohs and is a tangible reminder of paradise lost, this garden becomes a source of nourishment for body and soul.
