Description

Eco-Metro Vancouver is a hyper dense, super diverse, and radically optimized city. It is a place where metropolitan excitement is amplified by new architectural environments that
proliferate natural ecologies throughout the urban fabric. Traditional sustainability goals are accelerated to produce an urbanism that is fully synthesized with ecological systems.
Increased human density, in itself immensely important to reducing our carbon footprint, is made possible because of the proximate nature of vibrant nature.

Eco-Metro Vancouver is a city that capitalizes on the polyvalent and synergistic opportunities that urban ecological systems offer. Not only do these systems increase the health and
biodiversity of our environment, they offer a wealth of benefits not often associated with sustainability: They are a source of entertainment, recreation, and economic viability.

Artificially constructed fish ladders within the city help fortify local salmon populations but also provide entertainment and educational value. Intensive urban agriculture in new types
of invented spaces inside bring food closer to the end user and increase the diversity of work available in the city. Wildlife corridors that cut through the dense urban fabric increase
the viability of many species and also offer delight to city dwellers.
