Living on the Arterials harms our health. Bungalows, “Vancouver Specials”, and Apartments are ravaged by traffic volume and noise, on one hand, and the absence ameliorating design, on
the other.
Street-fronting apartments take all daylight and ventilation from the arterial, drinking pollution and noise.
Family houses are dwarfed by the volume, and compromised by the danger of rushing traffic.
Neighborhoods deteriorate as property values are beaten down, and revenues fall at City Hall. All due our neglect of urban design praxis.
