[ONALOevelopment [Do INotIAttempt]
DNA has extensively been associated with life, used as a means for identifying individuals amongst others. It defines who we are, and where we come from. Each genetic sequence is considered to be distinctive and like no other DNA, along with other elements such as the fingerprint allows a person to preserve identity.
This notion was selected to be superimposed into a chaotic, yet ordinary world, which we inhabit daily. The two towers, accompanied by elevated and submerged portions of a typical podium intend to escape the world of commonality that plagues Vancouver.
The Podium ITower typology has long been abused, used as an immediate and efficient was to accommodate mainly the owner of the development. DNA's intention is directed towards the pedestrian. A defined site approach along a central axis invites the pedestrian into the site, rather than restrict with a typical commercialized base. The all-embracing use of green space is used to magnetize the public into a newly perceived conception of building development.
[Do INot IAttempt] deviates from the mundane mindset of the current typologies that our world feels are comfortable, yet common. The intent is to detour future development toward a newly conceived typology that will constantly continue to be defined.
