At first below, then above, walls are not walls, and paths are not paths. Voices heard through solid walls.
Circles of light cast against screens where each person plays a role.
Pieces mixed together to create a new place. A map for people to inhabit. A place to explore with clues
leading to an understanding of the identity of the city.
The labyrinth cuts into the ground, but the material that is removed elevates visitors above the pavement to
orient them in the changing city. At one time disorienting, the labyrinth also serves to orient people in the
landscape of Toronto.
Orientation, connection and a reconciliation of the amputated Toronto waterfront. A healing at the human
scale through experience, space and a loss of place.
