Vision
The municipality of Maskinongé is located between the forest and the river, in the heart of fertile agricultural land. The town is crossed by the river of the same name, on the banks of which is rooted the Saint-Joseph elementary school, a place of growth for the young people of the sector. At a key moment in its history, the school is called upon to enter a new cycle of germination. How can we create an environment where the generations will be able to blossom and feel a sense of pride in belonging to their environment? The proposed project draws on the natural resources of the site, namely the forest, the water and the abundance of sunlight, all of which are essential to the agricultural development characteristic of the region, in order to create a school that, like a fertile soil, becomes a privileged cultivation medium for the community.
Collaboration
This project, by defining a path from the river to the wooded yard, hopes to foster the development of young people and their sense of belonging to the community. This new school will encourage the different generations to have a positive impact on the environment and will offer them a place of exchange between the past and the present that enhances the nature of their region. This project will be developed in the spirit of the school of tomorrow, in a collaborative and inclusive manner.
