Déambulations :

What happens between our front door and the city?

Considering the complexity and multiplicity of urban conditions (noise, lack of open space, unequal sharing of public space between different users, pollution), how can we densify and live comfortably in the city center?

An adaptable system

The project develops a housing system organized around collective spaces, softening the strict boundary between housing and urban activity. These communal spaces between the two induce a new way of living. Becoming catalysts for neighborhood life, they ensure a dynamic between residents and passersby.

The project offers a residential journey punctuated by social spaces: living areas that allow residents to enjoy urban activity while maintaining their privacy.

Each housing unit is equipped with a "buffer" space, giving users the choice of whether or not to participate in outdoor activities.

Adapting this system

The project meets the two main conditions identified in the neighborhood.

How can we live in a festive, active, and hyperstimulating place?

"Lodge on stage"

Targeting a dynamic population, the housing takes the form of a vertical agglomeration of individual units. Like opera balconies, each unit can open its loggia onto the city and participate in the festivities, or close it to withdraw and preserve its privacy. At the heart of the complex, the communal living space takes the form of small squares and terraces directly connected to the public space.

Subtly blending into the quiet streets of the neighborhood, townhouses are staggered, featuring large gardens, greenhouses, and vegetable gardens for families with green thumbs.
