Second prize - category "C" Settler's house, storey-and-a-half
"By means of its picturesque door and window-frames, its imaginative vivacity of color, and its neat design, this small home will add a gay touch to the heavier surrondings in regions of colonization. It requires a level country, already broken and offering a free view, as for example where the foothills of the Laurentides begin. The wall is constructed and sheeted with wood. The front entrence and treshold is of wood and of flat stones set in coloured cement."
