The confident authorship of this proposal impressed the Jury who found it sensible, spacious, and in good taste. The large proportions of the living space given to the children's play area, or second family living room, was considered a good suggestion. While the living room as much might seem restricted, the extent of its visual possibilities is very great. The materials required for the building are normal: the colour and textures have an agreeable, unpretentious character that was admired. In this design the Jury recognized a high degree of simplicity and style and a human interpretation of the life of a family in both moral and spiritual terms.
