Cent garden
Cent Garden aims to incite a critical response to our culture's materialistic attitude. Even though it embodies the codes that govern Society, as s liquid asset money is virtually inexistent; it is an abstraction.
The proposal makes money visible, proving the potential of the coin's physical nature: its color, texture, shine or sine.
In its most basic and often looked down on unit, l cent coins, money becomes a gardening material, a surface that reveals its very high perceptive features in contrast with the intangible rote it plays in the global economy.
Hidden among a misty field of tall grass, visitors stroll in
a garden paved with base Canadian penny's from which fortune piggy batiks spring up.
The money und for the installation is considered a loan. At the end of the festival it will be collected, returned and put to new use.
