Dante's Garden
The garden recalls Paradise's structure of Dante's Divina Commedia, interpreting It by contemporary contents and languages. A round thick bamboo wood lets you enter two hemispheres of earth and water, where steps on one skies and gangway on the other, invite you to go towards Paradise through a multi-sensorial route. Wood gangways, slightly raised and sloping, almost hanged ascending Into heaven, pals through grass dunes. Their Intersection point Is underlined by an ancient rose shrub that evokes the Blessed rose. From bamboo enclosure Just one of the two gangways leads directly to God, whose image Is suggested by a mirror surface put at the end. The bamboo filtered light, the acanthus that symbolizes Resurrection and eternal !Ife, the soft grass dunes, the roses' strong perfume, the mirrored sky, recall the religious and cultural Dante's Paradise and also stimulate the memory of men's history, Inciting the ail the five senses of visitors.
