Le monde est un pont étroit
Traditional landscape design constructed rather than cultivated paradise, from elements that were often unfamiliar, borrowed from regions and traditions afar, and filled with plants that were bred to bear no messy fruit and which had no local predators.
Here a paradise is imagined that returns to plabnts and natural relationships that predate European arrival
A narrow walkway represents earthly life, flanked by the sweet flowers and fruits of raspberries and roses as well as sharp thorns.
Paradise is surrounded by beech hedge. The inner garden is populated with twelve species of edible, native plants. A bench invites reflection and relaxation, encouraging visitors to linger long enough to notice the unusually high biodiversity and the beauty of unconventional landscaping plant. The immature state of the garden for the first two years celebrates nature, educates, and introduces suspense into visitor's experience.
