Genesis
Paradise, there are many things you can think about when you read or hear the word paradise. When I read the word "paradise" as theme for this competition, I suddenly thought that somewhere in the Bible is written that there was a river that flowed through paradise and split into four rivers.
Two of this four are the Euphratis and the Tigris.
We found this two rivers and we found also a spot where the meet each other. This is near the city Basra in Iraq, downstream the river will split again. Then you have the 4 arms.
It became increasingly interesting to use this spot as a base for the garden design.
So I had a pad, and what things are on that map? Rivers, roads ,cities and vegetation. What if I make of these 4 things a garden?
By dissecting the area into various functions, with these functions we can build a new garden. Actually, this garden now becomes a map in a smaller scale.
