_look up should be experienced through a sequence of movements and pauses.
Al-though the garden's plot is nestled between green trees on a rectangular grid along the festival's north-south axis, the 6 meter high ''look up'' tower is tall enough to attract visi-tors from all parts of the Redford Estate.
The tower is clad in a simple metal mesh that encourages climbing vines to crawl across its surface. It stands like a temple, drawing visitors through a field of tall grasses into its calm inner courtyard.
The courtyard, itself, is a place of reflection. Stones at the garden floor, together with low-lying mint patches and fragrant climbing jasmine, force visitors to slow their pace and breathe deeply. When they look up they see an opening -- an ever-changing slice of sky, sometimes blue, sometimes grey, sometimes pink and sometimes star-lit. This view bespeaks the idea of paradise without being over-prescriptive.
As days pass and seasons change, the tower asks visitors to contemplate what is infinite while recognizing the passage of time.
