Description

The Building clearly stands on its own, definitely as a Park Focal Point. Its shape: a round simple cylinder, tilted to the south, visible from all park venues. The park users will be able to easily find the Pavilion and navigate its function clearly. The scale of the building is not too big but stands on its own - it is there.

All functions within the building can be recognized right from the entrance. Stratifications of building parts is clear and without one impeding on the other.

The building and the site are designed as an object of art so the fine art needed to become a part of the entire composition. Using same design vocabulary - a circle - creates a consistent play of elements where any form of fine art, whether permanent sculpture, seasonal ice sculpture or pavement bass-relief would enhance the ambiance and spiritual experience around the Pavilion. The art object could result from artistic community competition. The Artwork will complete the composition or in the Design case: "complete the circle".
