Our idea of resting space for ice skaters extends the provision of mere shelter. Instead of adding a new structure to the landcape, the landscape itself is transformed into shapes that offer shelter. At the same time, they serve as well as an exciting extension to the skating track. They can be climbed up and slid down, they have inner space to hide. The bubles are made bytheaidofa bug-like creature. It settles down on the ice perforates it and begins to pump up the icy riverwaterto spray it over its bubbly extension. The extension is air-filled silicone balloon. The ice water will freeze and coat the silicone bubble. If the ice coat thicks enough, the balloon will be emptied and removed from under the ice sculpture to be used to create the next ice bubble. The bubbles are placed with their entrances facing each other. Seen from above, the groups of 3-5 bubbles bear resemblance to a flower. The bug is also able to create bubbles according to current apropriate placement. Our bug is a pump with sprinkler, connected to a generator and a compressor.

Bizarre and intriguing!! The project completely re-invents the use of the skid on which all other projects are situated. The idea of mounting equipment used for fabricating the ice 'eggs' is both clever and humorous. The resulting structures will likely be very beautiful and fragile. Good proposal for use of locally available material.
