Hug Experience
The pavilion deploys its eloquence with the wind and the snow, both offering a protective and warming feeling in the concave space, and at the same time, offering a continuum experience with the landscape. From the outside, it evokes an avalanche bank, with strong ribs, while in the interior it wraps and shelters the visitor while projecting him in the landscape
Curved Folding
The pavilion takes inspiration in traditional techniques of origami and the simple pleating of sheets provides a complex and rich sheltering space. This strategy allows cheap fabrication, easy transport and quick installation.
Dichotomic Surface
While being one single surface, the pavilion is folded and pleated gene-rating structural ribs, that generates 2 complete different experiences. From the outside, the blades offer a protective animal-like image while the interior is a soft continuous space protected from wind and snow precipitation.
