Whilst looking at the skaters skate along the trail, what struck me most was that this warming hut needs to be something that is constructed from the trail itself, not separate from it but integral to it, something that is closely in tune, in parallel with the trail, an offshoot of itself, an element that only makes sense in this place at this time, something that belongs, nowhere else.
Inside the space there is a sensual shift in the perception of light and sound and the skaters are drawn into a world which, for a brief stretch of time, concentrates and amplifies their experience, of gliding through space, of being on the inside, of the outside
