Pieds-de-vent
As the sunbeams filtered by the clouds were guiding sailors, light rays are walking with the pedestrian on a colored sidewalk. Those interactive ''Pieds-de-vent'' are creating an immaterial bridge between man and architecture, thus uniting a few moments the sacred and the profane. As a lighthouse, ''Pieds-de-vents'' are guiding pedestrians to the entrance that has gathered audiences, artists and faithfuls for decades.
On both sides of the theater's entry, red diodes strips are surrounding the round cavities to identify the Gesù as being part of the Quartier des Spectacles. Like those on the sidewalk, those red circles light from dusk while the white light beams are turned on only for special events.
