Emblematic Adjoint
Borders of inner and outer courts according to the building of The Laval University which have been made during the evolution of the site.
There is a clear similarity be¬tween all of the courts except number 8.lt is with different scale and form compare with other courts. We find that is a problem because the structure of the neighbourhood is unfinished and is not organic.
In order to make the structure of the neighborhood complete and organic and to face competi¬tion goals we decided to redefine a court number 8 as shown on a conceptual scheme. Our goal is to make a new entrance and a new approach to the existing building throughout the extension we propose. So we transform a court number 1, which is inner for a present Laval University building, taking him out and making him outer to the new extension of the university. In that way we made a court number 11 which is a simi¬lar to the court number 1 and fig¬uratively what was inside is now outside. We use the same logic but in reverse about outer courts (2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7) and so we receive inner court number 9. For achieving all of these transforma¬tion and evolution of the site we situated our extension in area with number 10.And so the big and unsimilar court with number 8 is now divided into areas with numbers 9,10 and 11.ln that case we think that the whole structure of the neighborhood is completed and organic.
