This project is designed for bus stop in Montreal, Canada, and the chosen site is the Fourth Site (a corner in Cher Brooke and Carrie South ).
Design concept: follow the task of "design concept of emphasizing the meaning of nature, art and design, stimulating the appreciation of urban space and sustainable ecological environment." We have put forward the design concepts of solar collector plate, rain garden and so on, in order to achieve the purpose of sustainable development. The design is named as Green Urban Living
Room, which aims to get a clear place of mind in the hustle and bustle of the urban society, looking for green from a concrete world, being in the corner of the city as easy as in the living room, among the city, relax and wait in pleasant.
In the expression of the idea of "not just waiting for the bus".Designed from the form, function, service, security, interaction, ornamental.
Formally the design uses Canadian traditional architecture style to express a regional culture, historical origins which give the local people a sense of the times, arouse people's memory, and narrow the interaction and feeling of cordial between public facilities and people.
In order to achieve the concept of ecological environmental protection, the use of solar panels as well as the use of natural energy to collect light to provide electricity and reduce energy use and pollution emissions, achieving sustainable environmental protection.
At the same time considering the weather, the bus stop interior designs umbrella sharing, people can buy disposable environmental protection umbrella independently. Also considering the non convenience of old man, place chairs helping the old man to sit down and stand up.There are interactive entertainment facilities in bus stop inside, and its large display screen can be connected to the Bluetooth of phone, and graffiti on a large display screen or mobile phone, the best works selected every two months will be given the mall discount cards, meanwhile, it also increases the visibility and profit of the mall.
Combined with the surrounding environment of the site analysis, the corresponding design of the bus stop attached to the rain garden, giving a garden-like landscape, as well as providing cheerful spice when appreciation, rest or waiting process. Not only in the viewing, It is a kind of ecological and environmental protection design method, which plays a role in rainwater infiltration, collection and recycling, embodying the "people-oriented" design principles.
