It stands at the edge of ten thousand years, waiting.
This community will be a gateway to the Louise Basin. We believe that it must by sympathetic to the city and at the same time, take full advantage of this waterfront location, as a result, the building massings reflect the surrounding area, steeply pitched roofs provide landmarks and brick should be the major cladding material. In addition we have provided a lake, a stream and a lighthouse to provide opportunities to reach water.
The scheme is organized by two spines which border the basin with the civic focus occurring at the junction. Community spaces such as streets, cul-de-sacs, squares and parks are oriented toward the water. The major public buildings address both the water and the city. A variety of housing options is proposed in order to meet the needs of a diverse population. The streets, promenades, cul-de-sacs and courtyards each hold unique opportunities. In addition, these housing options provide a variety of development options ranging from a small cluster of wood frame houses to a residential tower.
It beckon us, home.
