Out of the shadows into the light
Our idea is to create an art piece that will become a permanent installation and that will become a visual image to be associated with Gesù as well as be a centrally recognized icon.
The concept is to suspend three connected large screens that will be made of a fabric that will have reflective as well as transmissive properties. In the reflective mode, lights that will be illuminating from strategic points on the church building, will bounce right back onto the building. But rather than a harsh, high-key light, this will create, albeit bright, a soft and ambient light that will bathe the building in a warm glow.
On special occasions, the north and south screens can be used for rear projection upon which large moving or still graphic videos promoting shows and events.
