Manifesto
The main premise of this project for the Bassin Louise neighbourhood is to integrate the site with the urban fabric of Quebec City. By this same process, on the other hand, the Bassin Louise development will be a neighborhood with its own identity. The project is therefore presented along two main lines.
The first line of approach is to coat the site with all aspects of urban infrastructure that designate and define the public space. The exploitation of public works encourages the frequentation of the place by the general public.
The second line of approach is to develop the relevant residential types for each district. Such types must address three aspirations:
-The interpretation of the scale and structure of the urban fabric adjacent to the Bassin;
-The consideration of the environment and quality of life on the edge of a body of water, where no housing has existed before;
-The definition and creation of public spaces in the new district and the relationship of one to the other.
Parti
The parti adopted by this project divides the Bassin Louise neighborhood into three elements: the north shore, the south shore and the head of the Bassin.
On the north shore, multi-use buildings are aligned directly on the waterfront. The greatest residential density is located in a district reserved for reflecting the scale and monumentality of the adjacent silos.

(Unofficial automated translation)
Excellent integration into the stronger elements of the site. The recalling of the grain elevators and silos gives the whole development the air of a port.
Reinterpretation of the past which links the city with its harbor origin through the use of piles in the construction. On the northern jetty, the buildings are well integrated into the architecture
of the silos.
